PERUM PERUMNAS-KAI BUILDS NEW LUMPANG PARAYASA KRL STATION IN PARUNG PANJANG

PT KAI (Persero) and Perumnas are planning to build a new station that is directly integrated with Samesta Parayasa. Its location in Parungpanjang attracts interest from people living there because Perumnas is developing Samesta Parayasa.

Samesta Parayasa is Perumnas’ first large-scale residential site with a transit-oriented area concept (Transit Oriented Development/TOD).

“Together with the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation, KAI and Perumnas are synergizing to build and develop Lumpang Parayasa Station to improve access to and from Samesta Parayasa and its surroundings,” said Perum Perumnas Main Director Budi Saddewa Soediro as reported by kompas.com, Thursday (18/1 ).

The collaboration between the two was marked by the signing of a commitment by the Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation Mohamad Risal Wasal, the Main Director of Perumnas Budi Saddewa Soediro, and the Main Director of KAI Didiek Hartantyo which was witnessed by the Chair of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) Isma Yatun at the BPK Head Office on (17/1 ).

Budi said that the construction of this new KRL station is expected to support the mobility of residents of the Samesta Parayasa area and the community around the Parung Panjang area.

He assessed that the presence of Lumpang Parayasa Station which supports the implementation of TOD concept housing at Samesta Parayasa can indirectly contribute to overcoming the problem of traffic jams and air pollution as well as reducing stress levels while traveling.

Thus, the presence of a new KRL station in the Parung Panjang area can have a multiplier effect not only for the residents but also the surrounding community.

“Of course we hope to increase people’s mobility and productivity by shortening travel time to and from Jakarta,” said Budi.

For information,  Samesta Parayasa itself is part of the Millennial Housing program for Indonesia which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in April 2023, which is believed to be able to absorb more than 50 percent of millennial consumers.

Overall, Perumnas has developed a residential area in Parung Panjang Bogor with a total area of 600 hectares or the equivalent of more than 34,000 people in five sectors of the built area, where Samesta Parayasa, which covers an area of 200 hectares, is the final development in sector five that is currently being worked on.
